Bringing Up Buster
Episode Guide:
At the behest of his mother, Michael spends quality time with Buster. In an attempt to get closer to his cousin, George Michael auditions for a school play in which Maeby is playing Juliet. Gob breaks up with his girlfriend and has nowhere to go, so he ends up joining the other Bluth family members in the model home.
Tobias mistakes Maeby's interest in the school play as an attempt to get closer to her father when, in fact, she wants to get closer that that dreamy Steve Holt. Tobias is disturbed at the complete lack of chemistry between his daughter and nephew on stage and has what can only be a brilliant idea - he recasts the play with Steve Holt in Maeby's role with George Michael taking over the male lead. This is because George Michael is gay, of course. After discovering this error, George Michael quits and tells Maeby why. He's informed that her dad suspects everyone of being gay.
This episode introduces one of George Sr's earliest attempts to make filthy amounts of money - the Cornballer, which lets you make hushpuppies easily, if in a dangerous manner.
